Meet the team
We couldn’t devise the most intelligent approach to car ownership without a great team.
I grew up in north-west NSW in a small town called Narromine, where I learned to drive in my Grandpa’s old Landcruiser when I was eight. I could hardly touch the pedals, and hardly see over the dashboard but I managed it, and I still love that old car.
All my brothers and sisters learned to drive in it too, and it’s still rattling through the paddocks all these years later. I went to boarding school in Sydney when I was 12, and I’ve been living here ever since, although I’ll always be a country girl at heart.
Been cruising around for the past three years in my Grandma’s 93 SAAB. At the moment I have to drive with the windows up so I can’t hear the screeching of the breaks. I’m excited to jump into a VW Golf with an Autopia novated lease sometime soon.
Magna Mitsubishi. Great first car to have, really taught me the importance of always carrying jumper leads, coolant and having NRMA on speed dial. It spent most of its time getting jump started in the car park of Charles Sturt University, where the cold weather really played havoc with it.
My entire journey around South America was amazing, but what really stood out was driving from Santiago in Chile, up the coast line to La Ligua, Coquimbo, La Serena and finally getting to Vallenar. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking, as was the way our driver changed lanes, beeped his horn, missed oncoming traffic and stayed so cool about the madness all at the same time! I just loved cruising along the coast, stopping at little cafes, gigantic supermarkets and finally reaching a little beach house where we watched the sun set over the ocean. Hard to beat that really.
The entire team at Autopia are very welcoming, hardworking and friendly. I admire the people around me because they are dedicated, loyal and very supportive. Always willing to give a helping hand, and put others before themselves – even in times of stress.
