Meet the team
We couldn’t devise the most intelligent approach to car ownership without a great team.
I’ve lived in Sydney for pretty much most of my life – and I love it. I’m a big fan of Formula 1, playing guitar, swing dance, visual arts, video games and making people guess where I’m from originally – what’s your guess?
It’s my job here to test things to make sure our customers have the best possible online experience they can have with Autopia. If you ever have any feedback (or praise), we’d love to hear from you!
I learnt about novated leasing when I joined the team here not too long ago, and given the significant role feedback plays in my position, signing up for a novated lease was a no-brainer. Saving cash is always appealing and the product has received some great testimonials. The only ‘difficulty’ from my perspective is choosing which car I want to drive…
My first car was a 1989 Nissan Pintara TRX. She (yes, she was a member of the family) was a hand-me-down from my mum. She (the car, not my mum) gave me about a year of good service followed by about seven years of erratic service as she approached her 20th birthday and started falling apart. In 2010, much to our dismay, we were the meat in a four-car-sandwich accident and she was laid to rest. It’s a testament to the strength and protection she provided for eight years.
One of my fondest ‘on-road’ memories is of a former, 20-something-year-old self, following a passion for music… My guitar would always ride shotgun and whether en route to a gig, to practice, or to meet with potential collaborators, nothing beat the excitement of that drive. Heading back home after a good music session was also always very satisfying.
Everyone is extremely good at their job and it feels like we are all owners. When I do a great job, I can see how it affects other Autopians. Also, they’re just great fun to hang out with. Conversation spans anything from the latest Skrillex tracks, to at-desk-strength-training, to the pros and cons of tattoos.
