Meet the team
We couldn’t devise the most intelligent approach to car ownership without a great team.
I grew up in Sydney, and have lived all of my life in Sydney’s north. I’m currently finishing a Business Degree, and along with the study and working at Autopia, I don’t have much spare time for anything else right now.
What time there is, I play Rugby Union and support my teams locally and on the world stage. When I get a chance every year (or if I am lucky twice every year) I get to hit the slopes either in Australia, or abroad, with some trips leading me to Whistler, Niseko and Lake Tahoe.
Starting my career in retail, I migrated to the motor vehicle industry where I found my calling at Autopia. Allowing me to combine my aptitude for customer service with my passion for motor vehicles – it was the perfect choice.
I‘m looking at either a Volkswagen Golf GTI, or a Subaru Impreza WRX right now. Both are currently in for approval with my better half, and have been made more affordable due the tax benefits that I’ll get through a novated lease.
A hand-me-down from my parents, a 2000 Toyota Avalon. It’s still in action with my sisters both learning to drive in it.
My favourite road trip, is anytime I’m heading off to Thredbo. I’ve been skiing since I was three, as have my two sisters, so for years and years there’s been the annual family pilgrimage to the mountains.
We’ll load up the Challenger and the A6, and head off on Friday night after work. Stay the night in Cooma – about an hour before Thredbo – and then up at 5:30am the next morning so we can be on the slopes for when the tows open at 9am.
I love that drive in the morning, the crisp air, the sun peering over the mountain tops, a bacon roll and then finish off my coffee as I head up on the chairlift. What a start to the day!
It’s the people, always willing to lend a helping hand and are all very easy to get along with. The conversations of what car should I get next are always interesting too. Everyone has a fairly strong, and well informed, opinion about what car is best.. sometimes heated discussions.. but all in good fun.
