At Autopia, not only do we love rewarding our loyal drivers, but we also pride ourselves on having a strong focus on giving back to the community, which has led us to donate time and money to a range of causes and organisations. With this in mind, it was only natural that when it came to putting together a competition for our customers, we decided to combine these two core values.
At the beginning of October, Autopia launched the “Choose Your Own Adventure” competition, which gave our customers the opportunity to earn entries to win some fantastic prizes just by completing a few simple tasks.
The competition gave drivers a chance to win a major prize of a $4,000 Travel Gift Card and a $500 Adrenaline Gift Voucher for the winner of the ‘Otto’s Adventure Photo Contest‘. The good news and goodwill didn’t stop there, as we also offered a $4,000 donation to a charity nominated by the employer of the winner of the Travel Gift Card.
Without further ado, we are very proud to announce the winners:
Grant Reid from Knight Frank won a $4,000 Escape Travel Voucher to use on his next adventure. Grant also bought a new car as a result of his consultation request, saving thousands on his vehicle and making this holiday season even more special for him and his family.
Jim Sapardanis from the Burbank Group was the winner of the “Otto’s Adventure Photo Contest” and the recipient of a $500 Adrenaline Voucher. Check his very creative picture below;
Last but not least, as a result of Grant’s win, Autopia is also donating $4,000 to OzHarvest on behalf of Knight Frank!
OzHarvest is a not-for-profit organisation that saves quality excess food from more than 2,000 commercial outlets and delivers it free of charge to more than 900 other charities. The charity provides much-needed food supplies and nourishment to vulnerable men, women and children around Australia. Our $4,000 donation on behalf of Knight Frank will mean an extra 8000 meals distributed to those in need and it couldn’t have come at a better time than just before the holiday season where these meals will make a huge difference to individuals and families who cannot afford nutritious meals.
In addition to our donation on behalf of Knight Frank, Autopia is happy to announce that our CEO David Wakeley has agreed to continue supporting this worthy organisation by taking part in the OzHarvest CEO CookOff in 2017. This event is one of many fantastic initiatives organised by OzHarvest where CEOs, Managing Directors, Senior Business Leaders of various companies are put into teams and paired with top chefs from Australia’s leading restaurants. Each team will then prepare delicious meals under the guidance of their chef and serve them to the guests who are the people in need and are part of the OzHarvest family.
Let us take this opportunity to extend a big congratulation to all the winners, and to Knight Frank for choosing to support such a great charity.
Finally, please remember that it is never too late to help those who are not as fortunate as us…
