This November, join us as we run a series of events to uncover the issues surrounding mental health in the workplace.
In the workplace, businesses typically do everything they can to ensure the health and wellbeing of their employees, offering everything to improve the physical health of their workers from free flu jabs, to ergonomic testing, to gym memberships. But what about the mental health of employees? With the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare identifying mental health as Australia’s third largest health concern (after heart disease and cancer) and the Australian Bureau of Statistics finding that one in five Australians experience mental health issues each year – it’s never been more important to examine the role the workplace can play in supporting people suffering from mental illness.
This November, Autopia will be shining a light on mental health and the role that the workplace can play when it comes to supporting employees who are experiencing mental illness. We’ll be releasing a new white paper that will examine the issues surrounding mental health in the workplace, and explore the steps that businesses can take to create a safe and healthy workplace – in body and mind.
Join us in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane to discuss mental health and the workplace
You’re also invited to join the discussion in person. In the first week of November, we’ll be running events in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane with Professor Allan Fels AO and Ms Lucy Brogden, Co-Chairs of the National Mental Health Commission, who will share insights about how the workplace can better equip themselves to support those suffering from mental health concerns.
