Employer FAQ - Salary Solutions - Autopia Transition

In this page, you will find outlined the differences between the systems and processes your organisation has used with Salary Solutions (former RACV Salary Solutions), and the ones Autopia has in place, and your organisation will use to manage your novated leasing program after the transition is completed.

How it works at Salary Solutions	How it works at Autopia
Your access to the Salary Solutions portal will be switched off at 7PM ACST, Wednesday 9 May 2018.	After the transition has been finalised (15 May 2018), all people requiring access to the employer portal in your organisation will receive a welcome email with their login details. For payroll functions during the transition, please see Employee Deductions for Existing Drivers.

Portal allows employers to make certain amendments and updates online.	Autopia’s employer portal is currently a read-only portal. All changes or updates should be emailed to Corporate Support at corporate.support@autopia.com.au at least 4 days before the invoice date.

Please ensure you do not process any payments using the Salary Solution payment details after 7PM ACST, 9 May 2018.	Autopia will issue an invoice for all payroll deductions between 10 May 2018, and the go-live date. Please process the payroll deductions as per your last known records and pay Autopia once you receive the invoice from us.

The deed of novation is signed by the employer.	Given that the deed of novation is the same for every employee, Autopia signs this document on behalf of the employer

Employer’s payroll staff logs in to the portal and raise a payroll deduction summary from there.	Autopia will email a payroll advice as soon as the car is settled. The employer must set up deductions as per the payroll advice cheat sheet. Click here to download “How to use a payroll advice“.

Employer downloads the GST Summary from the portal, which stipulates the amount of GST to be claimed from the ATO.	Employer claims the entire 10% GST amount from the ATO and remits the GST from the post-tax employee contribution to the ATO. 2017/2018 FBT year reporting will be managed by Salary Solutions	Autopia will manage FBT reporting from the 1 April 2018 (2018/2019 FBT year)

If a luxury depreciation allowance is required, this will appear as an amount on the payroll deduction summary under the ‘Less Non-Deductible Amount Per Pay’. With Salary Solutions, the employer was asked to deduct this amount per pay cycle from post tax. It is the employer’s discretion what they choose to do with funds.	If a luxury depreciation allowance is required, this will appear as an amount on the left side of the payroll advice. The employer must deduct this amount per pay cycle from the pre-tax deduction and hold the funds until the car is disposed or Autopia closes the lease account. Upon closure, Autopia will provide the termination advice with the final Luxury Non-Deductible amounts for your records.
